Symposium Fees & Registration

Registration is now closed.

To assist potential attendees who need detailed cost information, we are happy to offer this summary.

Notes:

  • The early registration deadline is Wednesday, February 5, 2014.
  • The late registration fees apply from Thursday, February 6, 2014 through Sunday, February 23, 2014;. Registrations that miss the early deadline but are received on or before February 27, 2014 are considered to be 'late.'
  • After the late deadline, the on-site rates will apply. Symposium attendees will no longer be able to register on-line. Registration may be completed at the symposium registration desk starting at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6th. Complete on-site registration hours are available from our symposium registration gateway page.
  • Also note that cancellation requests must be made by February 23, 2014. A processing fee of $75 USD will be assessed. Regrettably, cancellations received after that date cannot be honored.

Registration Fees:

  • Early: $275 for SIGCSE members, $350 for non-members
  • Late: $325 for SIGCSE members, $400 for non-members
  • On-site: $375 for SIGCSE members, $450 for non-members
  • K-12 two-day (Friday/Saturday): $150 for early, $180 for late or onsite
  • K-12 one-day (Saturday): $80 for early, $110 for late or onsite
  • Students (at any time): $60 for ACM/SIGCSE members, $70 for non-members

Regular conference registration includes: One copy of the symposium proceedings on CD; all paper sessions, panels, BOFs, and keynotes; the symposium reception; the exhibition hall (and coffee breaks); and the Saturday luncheon.

The special one-day K-12 rate includes access to all Saturday technical sessions, the exhibition hall (and coffee breaks), the Saturday luncheon, and one copy of proceedings on CD. The special two-day K-12 rate includes access to all Friday and Saturday technical sessions, the exhibition hall (and coffee breaks), the Saturday luncheon, and one copy of proceedings on CD. Workshops are not included in these rates. These rates are available to K-12 teachers only.

Please note that your conference registration does not include workshops, which must be registered for separately.

Additional Fees:

  • Workshops (each): $75 early, $90 late, $100 on-site
  • Additional reception tickets: $55 each (all attendees receive one ticket)
  • Thursday luncheon tickets: $25 each (free for those attending SIGCSE the first time)
  • Additional Saturday luncheon tickets:  $55 each (all attendees receive one ticket)
  • Additional copies of the symposium proceedings CD: $10 each

Hyatt Regency Atlanta

The Hyatt Regency Atlanta is the main conference hotel-- all conference activities will take place here. Located on 265 Peachtree Street NE, just off Interstate 75, the hotel's distinctive blue dome makes it easy to spot! It is within easy walking distance of museums, restaurants, bars, shopping, and other attractions.

Delayed Arrival? Call Hotel!

Hyatt Regency Atlanta hotel reservations will be canceled if guests are a NO SHOW on their scheduled arrival date, and the remainder of their reservation may not be able to be reinstated. If hotel guests are delayed and unable to arrive on their scheduled arrival date, they must call the Hyatt Regency Atlanta at 1-404-577-1234, or go on-line at Hyatt.com to modify their existing reservation. The hotel is completely sold out Wednesday and Thursday nights.

Residence Inn Atlanta Downtown

In addition to the Hyatt, the Residence Inn Atlanta Downtown by Marriott has rooms available not far from the conference site.

Embassy Suites Atlanta Buckhead

The Embassy Suites Atlanta Buckhead is located near the MARTA rail station, a 14-minute ride to the Hyatt station.

Regency Suites

The Regency Suites are located near the MARTA rail station, a 4-minute ride to Hyatt station.

Roommate Database

A bit tight for funds this year, or just want to save some money? Looking to make a great, new friend? The roommate database may be for you!

Transportation from Airport

Travelling via the MARTA: Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority is a great choice for convencience and value. For only $2.50 each way, the MARTA will take you from the airport terminal to the station right beside the conference hotel (plus there's no need to step outside as the hotel station is just through the food court).
